Lest I Forget – Lt Eric S. Roberts — 3 Comments

  1. Nice read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing some research on that. And he just bought me lunch since I found it for him smile Therefore let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch! “England and America are two countries separated by the same language.” by George Bernard Shaw.

  2. Eric S. Roberts. my Godfather. A gentle man, much affected by WW1, as were my two grandfathers. Artistic and poetic, he lived latterly in a London apartment. Was a fellow of the London Zoological Society. I last saw him in 1954 and he died a couple of years later. One of those regrets that one never knew him better.

  3. Hi David Thanks for your comment – I assume that you found his photo in the book. Its quite a useful resource – inherited from my father – no idea how he came by it.
