Graduated with honours from University of Wales 1959 then followed 3 years as Instructor Lieutenant RN after which he worked for many companies in the UK whilst training and qualifying as a company secretary and management accountant. These included GKN and Cooper Bros., management consultants. Jim arrived in Australia in 1971 to work for the John Lysaght organisation in which over 27 years he held various senior financial positions in Sydney, Port Kembla and at Western Port (Vic) eventually as Financial Controller Lysaght Building Industries the national supplier of most of Australia's steel roofing material. Jim is currently President of CIMA, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, NSW and Hon Treasurer of the Sutherland Shire Information and Community Service, which handles Federal Government money distributed to the needy.
